Electric Gate Automation

Automatic electric gates are becoming more popular due to security and privacy concerns. All Gatecraft wooden entrance gates are built with electric or hydraulic automation in mind. The bottom rails of our wooden gates are reinforced with steel to allow a broad, strong connection between the motor and gate; this spreads the load fully along the length of the rail.

There are different options of automation available in our automatic electric gates including electro-mechanical or hydraulic systems. Both hydraulic and electro-mechanical motors can be used either underground or with bolt-on rams.

Electric swing gates create an arc of swing that may be inconvenient for parking. If your drive is short, swing gates will not be practical. Sliding gates can be the answer to this problem. Providing there is adequate width, a sliding gate can be installed that will not take up valuable parking area. A sliding gate can be built to look like a pair but is one single leaf that can slide to the right or left. The property will need enough width for this work to be done.

On narrower drives it is possible to have two halves sliding away from each other simultaneously. Whether a swing or sliding gate is used they will look the same from the front.
